"not guilty," huh? Sort of hard to make that case when Law Enforcement personnel catch you asking a "13-year-old" to meet you in a cemetery. I hope they throw away the key.
You know, just because we're sort of out of the mainstream culture here doesn't mean that every nutjob and gutless evil child predator gets to hide among us or use the THOUGHT of our people, however misapplied, to do whatever he wants. Thanks should go to the law enforcement people who do this sort of thing.
The way I see this is completely the opposite of the way the media is probably going to portray it; Because we're considered a "fringe" culture, our people and those who might be our friends and allies are being targeted.
I don't want to share a WORLD with the sick shitbag who lures 13-year-olds to cemeteries -- I certainly don't want to share an Internet website with the bastard.
Personally, I hate that even a single child stalker thought that Gothic or vampire culture was a good lure to attract teenage kids. We ourselves try very hard to dispel the myths, to promote safe Internet behaviour in the Vampire Community, but two things are probably true about this case:
1) They were on some Goth schlock site and not a site about real vampries, where we don't put up with such bastards.
2) The media has no idea that #1 is true, and will blame the Vampire Community for this crap anyway, when we're angry as hell that child stalkeres think they can use the myth of "vampires" as hunting cover.
So, I hope the "law enforcement posing as 13-year-olds" program gets further funded, staffed and expanded. Write yer dang congressman. If even one more of these creeps thinks they can hang around my Internet, they need to be found and locked the hell up. |

I think you pretty much summed up what everyone was and is thinking. its sick that people can do such things and try and sometimes get away with it. |
