Tactile Vampirism

A few of you have heard me speak of Tactile vampirism, but for most of you its something you've never heard of, or believed in. I have decided to try to explain in as few words as possible the nature of Tactile vampirism.


Tactile Vampirism V1.5

The tactile Vampire is the loneliest and most needy of all vampires, the very nature of this poor souls gift/curse is to seek sustenance through the touching of others. the Tactile vampire is akin to the empathic and psychic vampires, in the it feeds directly of the energies of other living beings, but unlike its more common cousins the tactile vampire needs to gain this energy directly, through physical contact.

in the early awakening stages of tactile vampirism the ability to draw energy through touching another can be random, working one moment and not the next, drawing only a small amount or to much. this can cause the newly awakened and hungry vampire to panic, or become skittish, fearing to touch or be touched, but needing so badly to touch another.

As the vampire grows into itself and becomes more aware of its nature the ability to control the amount of energy drawn by each touch becomes easier, and the vampire will become more confident with itself and its ability to deal with random physical contact.

Benefits of the tactile vampirism
Tactile vampires can tell the true worth and disposition of a man/woman from the first time they touch, they will instinctively know who to trust and who to watch out for.

Tactile vampires are able to sooth pain and suffering with their touch, by drawing away negative energy or by reversing the flow of their gift so they can give positive energy to another, a tactile vampires touch can be calming (beneficial) or if they wish disorientating (adverse) depending on what kind of energy they feed back to another.

Beneficial side effects : increased calm, restored energy, removal of minor aches, boosted confidence and even sexual stimulation (basic good mood booster)

Adverse side effects : Disorientation, fear, nausea, energy drain, cold and numbness (to name a few)

A Tactile vampire can not be force fed, they are rarely psychic and hence why they need to touch to feed.

The Restrictions of Tactile vampirism
Though a Tactile vampire needs to feed by touching many become insular and avoid unwanted physical contact, they acquire few friends, and dislike being touched by anyone without consent. this is caused by early traumatic experiences with first time feeding were they have drawn to much energy from someone by accident causing harm to that person. (this condition is completely reversed when dealing with a tactile and its mate)

Tactile vampires like their empathic cousins can suffer from emotional overload, when they draw energy from another person they also acquire a sense of their emotions and for stronger Tactile’s even thoughts and memory’s. sometimes these emotions or memory’s can overpower the Tactile vampires sense's and cause them to withdraw within themselves or have an emotional outburst (tantrum).

contradictory to their insular nature a Tactile vampire will become insecure, desperate and depressed if it can not touch another person, needing to feel the warm, strong and firm feel of another’s flesh beneath their fingers. when this need becomes unbearable they will forsake their fears and withdrawn nature, seeking out as much physical contact as possible.
after this need, many slowly sink back into their normal pattern of avoidance, but some will become repentant and punish themselves through starvation and pain, mostly inflicted upon their hands.

What to do if meeting a Tactile vampire
When meeting a Tactile vampire for the first time remember these simple steps

1. always offer your hand to them, but never attempt to take theirs this is the most honest way of showing the Tactile vampire you mean it no harm, by offering to let it touch and get a sense of who you are. if the Tactile vampire refuses your hand smile and lower it to your side.

2. If a Tactile vampire chooses to touch you, try to keep your mind clear and your emotions calm, strong emotions and a busy mind can stun or overpower a Tactile vampire leaving it confused or agitated.

3. never bare your teeth to a Tactile vampire, unlike the sang vampire who see's this as a mark of kinship the Tactile vampire see it as a threat, the baring of teeth signifies the want to bite the flesh of another.. this to a tactile is a very upsetting concept, unless you are their mate or in the case of sang/tactile hybrids their donor. In addition the bearing of teeth is an insult or act of aggression especially within a Tactile’s own home.

4. If a Tactile vampire takes you in as its friend be prepared to deal with random moments of withdrawn presence, or random hugging. Tactile vampires although withdrawn care deeply for those they call friends and will use a hug as an excuse to make sure you are ok, in good health, and emotionally peaceful.

5. If by rare chance a Tactile becomes attracted to you be prepared to deal with a very touchy feely, and if you do not like such attention, unsettling time. if your not interested be polite and say no, do not lead them on this only cause's problem later on.

Tactile’s and their mates
were a Tactile vampire may be largely withdrawn with most people they become spontaneous and overly possessive of their mates, when a Tactile finally finds or chooses someone they wish to spend their lives with they open up to that person completely. if you truly wish to know a Tactile talk to their mate, with whom they will share everything and hide nothing.

Tactile’s love to touch and kiss their mate's for the mate of a tactile is usually someone who is deep down akin to them, a compatible soul. they can rarely bare being out of direct contact with their mates and when they have to be become depressed and agitated, to the point of violent outbursts.
Tactile vampires are very demanding lovers, wanting to enjoy the passions of intimate contact until they are exhausted. if you become interested in a Tactile be sure to make sure you are a physical match when it comes to stamina.

Tactile’s are also very defensive and often over protective of their mates, always checking to see if their ok, taking their side in arguments and generally getting aggressive towards any competition.

Elemental attributes
tactile vampires have an affinity for both water and fire elements, water because they can immerse themselves within it and be free from the world around them. fire because of its ability to draw people in and generate a communal setting. as stated many times the tactile vampire is a very contradictory creature. which is why the basic alignment is chaotic neutral

I hope this rough and poorly written guide will help bring to light the nature and ability of one of our more rare and unknown kin, so that we can further understand and grow as a community accepting all of our kind as one people, one family, on this our dark and broken home called earth.
