Absinth is pretty good.. alcohol enfused with wormwood. its like a really strong wine. its also known to make you trip out if you drink too much of it. It was big in the late 1800's |

That's not such a bad idea Amber.
And Dax i drink about every weekend mostly they are cuba libre(coke & rum) and sometimes a gooooood glas of wiskey.
But Amber could you remind me of it.............about the absint.
I think you can add it with sugar if it's to bitter i think. _________________ who dares not speak his free thoughts is a slave.Euripides |

There are many kinds of absint you have to look at the label look for original absint it should be on the label or just ask in the store.
Cuba libre easy to make large glass fill it half of rum the rest is coke but it depents how much you like rum and drink it with regular coke or you can drink it with light. _________________ who dares not speak his free thoughts is a slave.Euripides |

Ah, alcohol, one of my favorite subjects...
RE: Whiskey
Canadian Club has the standard 80-proof alcohol content that you will find most whiskey types, such as their parent Jim Beam.
Standard JD is also 80 proof, though JD Single Barrel is 94-proof making it a bit stronger.
RE: Absinth(e)
Absinth(e) is a fairly nasty tasting drink with varying alcoholic kick, depending on where it is from, and the varying amount of anise, wormwood, or fennel it contains. Seth Numinen likes it though, so he's probably a better person to ask about specific types.
If you've not had it, that's probably because it was illegal in Belgium until Jan 2005.
The importation of Absinth(e) is technically illegal in the United States, though the ownership and consumption of it is legal. The FDA has one set of parameters and the DEA another.
Some types of absinthe are similar to ouzo as both contain anise, though ouzo has no wormwood.
As to the french liquor, French law specifically prohibits "absinth(e)", not wormwood-based alcohols, so there have been several types of absinth produced in France and called something else.
If you are just trying absinth(e), avoid the "home made" kits as absinth(e) which isn't distilled may have very high levels of thujone, which can result in renal failure.

Absint is easier to get here in Belgium there some stors which sell it.
strangly enough the product anise can be found aswell in greek call it ouzo the turks call it raki the french call it ricard the same only a diffirent name but anise is good for the blood they say it kill of bacteria in your blood. But what would make ppl assume to drink absint to be forbiden?
i kinda like the new Jack Daniels singel barrel the tast is diffirent it became little bit stronger.Jim beam i seen standing in stores here and there not yet tasted it. that of what is soled in stores is safe to drink or it would be bad publicity for the store. _________________ who dares not speak his free thoughts is a slave.Euripides |

Okay, I did not say this here, so after you have read this pretend its not here. . .
The only thing that really puts me to sleep is pot. I miss pot. Oh-where did you go--my lovely sleepy-time, nighty-night buddy?
Alcohol just makes me all randy, and hyped up. Jack Daniels=Table top dancing and Sandy gone wild. I'm a mellow girl, although the drink is better for dancing then pot.
Although, I wouldn't mind some absinthe. If it was good enough for E. A POE. . .LOL
Take care guys, and the Melanin is helping me a bit. But sleep still eludes me. _________________ "I can calculate the motions of the heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people."

Oh-how I miss it.
Yep, my neighbors hate it when I flash them. LOL--its bad when they have a neighbor hood watch meeting about you, and pass around a petition. . .JUST KIDDING. I've blinded all the neighbor's kids--my whiteish yellow ass is just too bright. _________________ "I can calculate the motions of the heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people."

There's also the other illegal drink, Moonshine.
Now that took me on a long trip that I cannot clearly remember to this day! _________________ "Always be open-minded or let yourself waver underneath the truth." |

I wonder what they put in those drinks?
If it's illegal to sell then it must be some serious drink there selling. _________________ who dares not speak his free thoughts is a slave.Euripides |
