Saltwater Purification Ritual:

Mother, If you deem it best,

Love, joy, protection, power and providing service to others,
Please be with me, help, guide and watch over me My Goddess.

Using a ritual Chalice, fill with water.

“Blessed Be, Thou Creature of Water.”

Using a ritual athame or other implement, add three mounds of salt and stir counterclockwise.

Blessed Be, Thou Creature of Earth.
Salt and Water,
Inner and Outer,
Soul and Body,
Be Cleansed.

Cast out all that is harmful,
Take in all that is healing,
By the powers of life, death and rebirth,
So Mote it Be, and it Shall be so.

Sit with the cup in your lap and allow all concerns and disappointments to rise to the surface of your mind.

Visualize them as a murky stream flowing out of yourself as you exhale and into the chalice, to be dissolved and purified by the salt water.

Hold the chalice, breathe deeply and feel yourself drawing up power from the earth.
Let the power flow into the salt water until you can visualize it glowing with light.

Sip the water, Feel it upon your tongue and know that you have taken in the power of cleansing. Fear and unhappiness have been transformed into the power of change.

Empty the chalice back to the Earth.
