Well, there is a Shadowcaster band, a Shadowcaster motorcycle club, and a Shadowcaster class for an RPG game, as well as being a video game released back in 1993.

Sorry, google doesn't know anything more than that and I haven't heard anything of them personally.

Two nights ago, i was on MSN with a Sang sister & she invited her witch friend into the conversation. She said that she was a type of shadow caster & don't bother googling cuz google has no info on it. She asked me try to post on forums instead. She's a normal psychic who does some wicca & some other things & uses the "merry phrases".

I assume what shadow casters do would be derived mostly from the name. That they cast/create/summon shadows into the world. It could mean your sister has an affinity for shadows or that she has learned the art of manipulating them to some extent. It could also be some kind of way to describe people who use energy to conceal themselves, casting "shadow" over themselves and thus gaining the ability to walk silently in the night. This is all purely speculation though, so don't take my word as cited or in any way previously known.

Traditional Wiccans are not allowed to speak of their Wicca. If she refused to tell you, it's because it probably has something to do with Wicca, and her family would outcast her entirely if she ever spoke of it... actually, I don't even know what the punishment is for Wiccans talking about Wicca, it's that secretive. But they are generally a good sort, lots of empathy and tolerance. The only thing she can do is point you in the right direction, just like she did, otherwise she would be in a whole world of trouble from mommy and daddy.

Learning it generally doesn't help things either, this concept created the massive gap between Traditionals and Neos that still exists today. Makes me glad that I'm on the outside for once.  Cheesy I don't want a slice of that cake, tyvm.

Thanks Daniel,

Its a good insight...will try finding out more about it & what abilities they have. I probably think that you may be right in some aspects.

Well spoken. Shadow refers to a group of energies which appear in shades of black...beginning with shadow, known to be almost incapable of possessing enough force to cause harm....to void, the more prevalent and well known....to abyssal energy...which is the heaviest that i am aware of at this time.

a shadowcaster is somone who casts shadows...basicaly they focus on directing those energies (or one specific one that they have a tie to) outside of their form. as such i would expect them to be offensive rather than defensive. due to the nature of shadow energies to absorb/corrupt other energies, they are naturally potent towards attacks which thrive on confusion or dampening of the senses.
I would hope that they would be able to at least shroud themselves....one of the more simple defensive techniques using shadow energies.

Shadow casting is difficult magic and should not be messed with by people who do not know how to use it. I had a friend who used to do it and he said it made him an irritable person. People use the shadows to attack others and to get things they want. Normally shadow casters are solitary thought so I do not know the reason she brought you into it.

Can you describe them in any way, or is a name all you have on them?
I cant really do much with just a name, sorry.

I don't know if this has anything to do with wiccan shadow casters, but I was raised that shadow casters are pretty much very powerful people who use "black magic", they only use their magic to harm others or to gain things at the cost of other people; they give people "the evil eye". I was always taught not to mess with any of it because it would bring "bad jujus" (whatever you do comes back 10 folds).
I've heard that some people use it and other people can use it for you if you pay the right price.

I have always been told that a true Wiccan, would not use any magic to harm another. How can someone be a true Wiccan and be breaking one of the main rules of their belief system? I know there are Wicca based pagan religions, and people that practic magic outside the Wiccan beliefs that can or would do harm , but they would not be true wiccans if they did.

Just wondering how that works?

Just a perversion of the sense of being true wiccan, probably because you do everything, except follow the reed
