It is told in Greek mythology that the first king of Arcadia was a man named Lycaon. He was a tyrant, an evil and blood thirsty king who sacrificed men, women and children to the god Zeus, thinking that he was pleasing the god. Zeus was not pleased by the actions of Lycaon, but, was enraged. He descended from Mount Olympus in the guise of a begger and traveled to the kingdom of King Lycaon. Lycaon's people saw the god for who he truly was and got on there knees and worshipped him. When Lycaon heard that the begger was Zeus he devised a plan to test him. He took his own son and had him made into a feast and poisoned the food, and then when the begger came to eat if he was truly the god Zeus he would not die, and if he was just a begger he would perish from the poison. When Zeus reached the castle of King Lycaon and was escorted to the king's table, he could smell that the meat was that of Lycaon's own son. This enraged the god so much that he killed everyone in the hall and turned Lycaon into a raging black wolf. In other versions of this legend, lycaon sacrificed his son to the god on an altar, and Zeus then changed him into a black wolf, but his son was reincarnated as a white wolf. No matter which version it is, in the end it is said that Lycaon was the first werewolf to be created.

that is a very interesting story and it's quite possibly true but he could also be the first shifter or perhaps shifters originated from weres but that i'm not even sure about

There was a boy. A very strange, enchanted boy.

This is a good story and makes sense to me.  I used to think werewolves were mindless dogs, but they are actually quite regular people.  As we are.
