I like the turn of the topic to draconic arts.
A big part of my martial arts and my spiritual practice involves working with elemental dragons and demons. Way of 5 dragons / 5 demons. Yep, they are out there, talus is dead on.

i think i agree, but i just found the ginger root explanation to be a humorous wives' tale. ^_^

Faint is smell in the air, Faint the light shining in my eyes and Faint the memory of what was.
The dragon soul is not one of this planet maybe not even one of our realm. Faint like dust or smoke blown in the wind yet there. Seeing, feeling, touching, tasting, knowing, learning, foretelling and protecting. Who is the dragon? Why is the dragon here? Don' t ask me...
I have no simple answers nor can I lead you through the path. Ask the dragons themself and you'll find answers but prepare to be tested and to learn things you never wanted to.
May your own insights bless you!

Dragon-kin, What do i know? not a whole lot i guess.
During the course of my internet adventures i've met... *counts* 4 or more individuals who claim to be Dragon in some way. two of which i claim to be friends with (or online/internet/e-friends at least) one i considered a close aquainance and the other.. well her story was very similar to one of my friends' and she claimed to remember him, however he could not remember her.
I can not say, and it is not my place to judge, their stories/memories as fact or fiction, but they did claim.
I think, like most otherkin and therians, each individual's story is not going to be the same. I heard some quote one time, something like "if you ask 3 different people what makes them otherkin/therian, you'll get 5 different answers". Sometimes it's obvious if someone is talking out their butt, but this isn't always so.
I've heard claims from very large, burly looking dragons (some descriptions similar to D&D so i question, but you never know) to a small, wingless, flightless dragon (sort of the size of a horse or large dog).
They've claimed memories of war, of their prefered living quarters in the astral realm and of dragon-children who are living in this world in a human form as well.
To my knowledge there has been no evidence of dragons ever existing in 'the real world' no fossils, nothing. Though i guess there could be theories as to why or why not there.
It makes more sense to me, as it's been claimed, that dragons (like other creatures of myth and legend) have only existed in the astral realm, or some world that is not the one we all currently percieve with our physical senses.
Again, i don't know much about it, but i have heard of a couple claims and know the individual stories and what-not.

Ginger is good. Good as tea. Good for colds. And oddly shaped like human beans.
